Innovative Ways to Drape a Saree



There are many ways of draping a saree, practically there are over a dozen ways or may be more of draping saree. Saree draping is not always so difficult and it does not always involve too many steps. There are simple saree draping styles and then there are the rather difficult ones too which you can wear to special occasions. From the many different saree draping styles available, there are some draping styles which draw inspiration from contemporary styles while there are other saree draping styles which are inspired from regional draping styles.

Now, here are some of the fun draping saree styles that can take cue from and style yourself in saree the next time you want to go to a special occasion or a marriage or a celebration:
 
1.       Nivi drape style: The nivi drape in saree is the simplest saree drape. The pleats are simple, the saree pallu can be left open or pleated, depending on the style of saree you want to drape. 

2.       Bollywood drape: The bollywood drape is different than the nivi but the style is somehow similar. The saree is tucked a little lower than the navel, the stomach is not really concealed and the pallu is also kept narrow in width. The bollywood saree drape is extremely glamorous. 

3.       Bengali drape: Bengali drape involves box pleats. The Bengali drape also has pallu fabric on both the shoulders. Also the Bengali saree drape is so elegant that you will simply love it for its beauty and grace.
4.       Pant style drape: This is one of the recent saree draping style where in you replace the petticoat with a pant. This saree draping style allows such free movement of legs and you do not really need to worry about keeping the saree and the pleats and everything in check because the pants hold the saree well.

5.       Dhoti style drape: In dhoti style drape, the saree is draped like how a dhoti is draped. The dhoti style drape has been flaunted by sonam kapoor many a times and she certainly manages to look amazing in it.
6.       Lehenga saree: Saree draped like a saree but styled to look like a lehenga is one great saree drape. The lehenga saree has the appeal of a lehenga but is pleated and worn with a pallu much like how a saree is worn.





Similarly, there are other saree drapes that look great. You can also look for Guajarati drape, south Indian drape, mahrashtrian drape and other saree draping styles that are popular with women from different states or you can also look for stylish drapes that designers have come up with.
